Translation

Hi,

I don't suppose anyone here can translate Iranian in English can they?

Got our first customer who have signed up to our top plan who are from Iran (Well, that's where hSphere says they are from) but they put an adress in the US down.

They have a homepage at the moment which is a load of writing in a picture (so Google can't translate).. Just being over cautious I guess.

Cheers
Greg

PM me if you want to try and I will send you the web address.

Hello,

Would it be Farsi?

Also, be very careful with iran, if they are in fact there, the US bans import/export there, and that includes data, as evidenced by the removal of iranian servers from major datacenters.

Stephen,

Thanks for your reply. I have PM'd you a question along these lines.

Is there a good set of blacklist addresses we should assign in our CP?

Thanks
Greg

Thanks to a friend of mine, I found out what it said.
Not much...

But it rings some alarm bells in my head from what you said, data should match. Machine translation doesn't work on images, and it was english to farsi, not reverse, that I found. :(

So - because servers are located in Florida can this site (assuming it is in Iran) be hosted here?

Thanks
Greg

Honestly, I don't know, but we would most likely get notice very quickly when the men in black knock on the door.

There are no restrictions in providing hosting to customers from Iran.

There is a restriction on providing strong encryption software to customers in iran but none of our services provide such software.

We have iranian customers as well (not many, a few). We even have a customer from Iraq.
