Upgrade - Hsphere 2.4.2 patch 5

We are upgrading Hsphere to 2.4.2 patch5 at Sunday 4:30 AM EDT, May 29.

It includes:

a) PHPBB 2.0.15 (Both Unix & Windows)
b) SP1 support for Windows 2003.
c) Few bug fixes & security updates.

This will be followed by PostgreSQL upgrade to 7.4.8.
 
This is a major Windows upgrade since we will also be upgrading all Windows 2003 servers to SP1.

You can expect 10 minutes of outage on each of our Windows 2003 servers, 2 minutes of outage outage on each of the Win2000 boxes and 30 minutes of outage on our Control Panel. No email outage is expected.

The following are Win2003 servers:
Win7, Win8, Win9, WinCF, MSSQL2, MSSQL3, MSSQL4

Rest of our Windows servers are running Win2000
 
Win2 is being updated to patch5 now.

The CP is also stopped for a time while we perform the updates.

Win2 done, now to win3.

Win3, done, Win5, done.
 
The regular patches took longer than we expected. So, to minimize downtime we moved the PostgreSQL update to tomorrow at the same time.

Win6 done, Win7 update in process.
All MSSQL servers updated.
 
We just finished win7, it had a longer IIS downtime as there was a problem with the php processess on the server, it has been resolved.

Win8 upgrade is now complete, the CP has been up for about the last 10 minutes, on to Win9, then WinCF
 
All updates are complete, but the windows 2000 servers and WinCF now need to be rebooted, they also had some changes that require a reboot.
 
WinCF has been rebooted and is coming back up, Win5 has been rebooted and is now up.
 
Due to some scheduled internel routines of Hsphere which may interfere, PostgreSQL upgrade was delayed. It is starting now. Control panel will be stopped in next 5 mins and will come up as soon as the upgrade finishes.
 
Just to let customers know, the SP1 upgrade was NOT performed on the Win2003 servers. Certain issues remain with SP1 that can cause certain .NET applications to not run.

We are continuining our testing of SP1 and when we find it appropriate, we'll schedule an installation
