We plan to upgrade all our systems to HSphere 2.4.3 Patch2 starting at 2:30AM EST, July 26.

Below is the list of new features:
1. PHP upgrade to 4.4.0
2. EasyApp - Fantastico-alike, allows one-click install for major PHP applications.
3. Introduced the next generation of H-Sphere mail system, featuring:
* SPF and SRS implementation in user CP;
* RulesDuJour: automatic update of SpamAssassin rulesets;
* new stable Horde 3.0.4 release with H-Sphere built-in theme
4. Added the possibility to allocate physical servers dedicated to particular reseller.
5. Included SiteStudio 1.7 RC 1 update.
6. Added support for Miva 5 (Miva Merchant 5 and Miva Empresa 5.02) into H-Sphere. Discontinued support for Miva Merchant 4.13 and earlier versions.
7. Added support for the upcoming MS IE7 browser.
8. Added possibility to remove/restore all types of built-in DNS records.

We expect the control panel to be down for about 60 minutes during the upgrade. No other services would be disrupted

Hsphere Upgrade progress

Just a status update, BIND is now running with the 9 series software instead of 8, there was no downtime at any point during the upgrade.

We are now installing the hsphere update, and the control panel is currently turned off. As soon as that is complete, we will start the updates on the windows servers and other unix web servers.

Most Windows servers are complete with the exception of:
Win6
Win8

Backup processes are still running on these servers and we can not start the hsphere update while the backups are processing

We have encountered a few errors in the upgrade from bind 8 to bind 9 and working to resolve them.

Adding domains or subdomains may not work for a short time.

The Bind issues have mostly been sorted out, but we are monitoring the DNS systems for any issues. There was no downtime since we of course run two DNS servers and both were never down together.

SiteStudio upgrade failed after several errors which PSOFT is working to fix. We have rescheduled this upgrade for Wednesday, 2:30AM EST. An Apache upgrade on Web & Web2 will also be performed during this time.

The expected downtime on Web & Web2 is expected to be minimal, no longer than 5 minutes. However the CP Server would once again be down up to 60 minutes due to the SiteStudio upgrade

Control panel started. Apache & PHP upgrade almost complete. PHP will now recompiled on web2.

PHP was recompiled some time back and working fine. Some applications may require an upgrade to the latest version as the way PHP does variable references has changed (For example, ezPublish).

Control panel will not be available for next 10-20 minutes as psoft will now complete the SiteStudio upgrade.
