I am a reseller. One of my clients receives a huge number of virus notification messages into their mailbox e.g.
Subject: Virus Worm.SomeFool.Gen-2 found in attached mail by ClamAV.
ClamAV anti-virus scanner has intercepted and deleted a message.
The following is a summary of the infected message:
Virus name: Worm.SomeFool.Gen-2
From: kerrie.a****re@***.ie
To: j****@*********.com
Please be aware that a virus spread by email normally forges the address of the sender. There is a good chance that the infected message was not received from the sender listed above.
I realise this is better than actually getting the virus but is there a way of stopping the virus notifcation from being sent at all as when you receive 90 copies of this message it is like having a virus!
I have opened ticket #30099 over a week ago with no response. Can someone please let me know if I can do anything to stop this from happening?
