We are running FSCK now, we decided to start this after working with the log extensively. We will update as possible.
This is a new thread to extend off the last with details since moved to a new stage of working to stop DOS to now FSCK of the files.

all filesystems scanned, and no issues found there, so that wasn't playing any part in the issues (which isn't surprising just needed to check)

We are making some progress now here, doing a bit of stop/start on apache over next minutes as we profile it out.

We've been up 10 min without further problems now after disabling a domain and some other associated sites.
