We have identified one site that is causing not CPU usage, but a massive number of IIS connections that is taking down IIS on win2, or causing slowdowns, this is a very major site with a 4 letter domain. Yesterday when it slowed things down, I moved it to its own pool and set an 18% CPU cap on it, things ran fine through the rest of the day, then this morning within 20 minutes of a similar but not quite so large slowdown, it happened again, but IIS came back after the CPU cap turned the pool for that site off.
We will be working with the site owners to get this resolved today, and if is is not resolved the site will have to be shut down to protect the server for other customers.
