Win2 Unresponsive

Win2 has dropped off the network. A technician is at the datacenter and looking into the problem. We should have the server back up shortly

As you know, this server was recently rebuilt on newer hardware and unfortunately the KVM/remote console interface wasn't configured properly. That allows us to quickly hard reboot a server incase of a hang like this.

Another small delay is that the server wasn't labelled properly after the rebuild. Hence the tech at the DC is having a little difficulty finding the server hence we are rushing in someone from our side.

I appologise for this. These issues are not of the ordinary for us. We should have the issue resolved within 15 minutes. If its a hardware failure, I'll let everyone know and we'll proceed to replace it

The server went up a while ago and I am updating this thread late. The Operating system had hung and we are investigating the same.

The configuration issues with the remote console and labelling will be sorted out too. I appologize for this and such issues never really happen with us. We keep things very organised at the hardware level

Win2 has been restarted while we permanently sort out some issues related to this crash. it should be back up very shortly. We do not want a repeat of this incident in peak hours

It is back up from the restart. Took less than 2 minutes. The source of the crash was the Acronis backup software that we are running on Win2. That software is scheduled to be replaced on our Win servers with a different backup system and we do not expect to see such a hang again
