winCF - ODBC problem- rebooting

We are going to have to disable hsphere CF DSN creation on CF, it is causing the ODBC engine to go down randomly, and we can't have that. The major problem is when it goes down, it doesn't want to restart.

Does that mean no more DNS/ODBC connection for CF?

No,it means send ticket for DSNs, however it has not been disabled just yet.

Hmm is that change permanent?

 

[Stephen]

The change has not been made, but if it can prevent the CF ODBC engine from dying every 12 hours, and sometimes not coming back up when we restart it, it will be permanent. Its a little give for a lot of benefit.

It takes 24 hours or more for a DSN in the CP to be made in Cf anyway.
