    Location of servers?

Yash, All I can say is THANK YOU... You guys have done a great job. I have just changed the connection string and my forum page that was taking 35 seconds to load, is now loading in 1.687 seconds.... that is not a mistake, let me say it again - 35 seconds to under 2 seconds. I think...

Cool, thank you. When do you think this will occur - still in the next 48 hours.. I was told 1-3 days 24 hours ago. Thanks again. Huthy

    Location of servers?

Yash, What will the SQLServer in Florida be called? Reading your last post will it still be MSSQL1.JODOSHARED.COM? Obviously if it is not, each database moved will have to be case managed to ensure that the ConnectionStrings on all of those websites can be updated at the same time as the...

    Excellent Speeds from Win5

The support team has offered to move my site back to WIN2 which is a Windows 2003 Server in the same datacenter as the SQLServer, but based on the fact that WIN5 seems to be a better machine, I think I will wait 1-3 days for the new SQLServers. 3 words - BRING IT ON!!!!!! Can't wait... and I...

    Excellent Speeds from Win5

Dirtbag, I would say that is precisely the issue. The connection between WIN5 and MSSQL1. I can connect to both of them directly with no real issues, but the two don't seem so happy talking to each other. Let's hope the guys can fix it ASAP. Regards, Huthy

    Excellent Speeds from Win5

Dirtbag, I checked out your site and noticed you are also using WWF. Here are some timings for me on my site: Home Page - 7.12secs Active Topics - 8.56secs Forum (Default Page) - 31.15secs The forum has about 125 users and 2500 posts - so it is far from huge. A straight HTML -...

    Excellent Speeds from Win5

Dirtbag, I am with you on this one. I run WWF (actually Invision Portal which is based on WWF 7.7) and it has never run slower. The support team is looking into it... but clicking the forum link can take up to 30 seconds to load the page - it used to be 2-3 seconds. I hope the SQLServer...

Guys, As you may have already read from other topics that I am on WIN5. The Time now seems to be fixed - THANK YOU - but I cannot get WebShell to work. I can FTP no probs, but the ability to archive prior to downloading and then upload archives and unzip them on the site is really...

    WIN5 - Timezone

UPDATE: The server time appears to have changed... it is now GMT -5. This is where it always used to be on WIN4. Is this where it is going to stay? Thanks, Huthy

    WIN5 - Timezone

If someone could verify it because if Australia (Brisbane) is GMT + 10 and the server is 15 hours ahead of Australia... GMT + 25 (I DON'T THINK SO.......) So yeah, verification on the following please: 1. What is the timezone on WIN5? 2. Is the date and time correct on WIN5? Regards...

    WIN5 - Timezone

I thought I read somewhere that WIN5 was now on GMT. I do not believe this to be true. It have a piece of ASP that is currently telling me the server is at 05 March 2004 at 2:38am, yet in Australia (Brisbane) it is 04 March 2004 9:38am. If Australia is GMT+10 then I have no idea what...
