possible routing hijack?

You find getting a straight answer first time around rediculous?

Of course now that the truth came out (thanks to Yash) it is easy to say that any further dialog is pointless. How did we understand this? By asking the questions and then I see 2 stories...I don't like that so I "whine" as it has been stated.

All I am saying is that it would have been better to say the final answer in the beginning. This is what I mean by better communication.

We can disagree and that is ok.

Yash didn't speculate, Stephen did.

Yes and Stephen is a member of the JH staff (unless he no longer is).

So when Yash CORRECTS Stephen (member of JH team) you don't think that there are 2 stories coming from JH??? How can you not see that? It is basic logic. Yash CORRECTED what Stephen said.

I also never said communication is utter crap here. Just said it could be improved when 2 members of JH say 2 different things.

I don't see two stories at all!

Yash said it was a configuration issue, Stephen tried to explain it after your began yelling about it. When you made a post saying that "you don't understand why host's try hiding information" Yash clarified Stephen was speculating and if he had facts, he would have posted that too. Stephen also clarified next he was speculating and explained why no one could know for sure

Where is the double story or conspiracy theory? This is ridiculous, sorry.

I didn't yell at anyone. I asked a simple question at which time Yash and Stephen corrected their information (but not before they were asked about it). I think now you need to get YOUR story straight.

Yes and your point is??

What I am bringing up is my confusion over why a member of JH speculate on an issue when the facts were known? (in this case by Yash) I will tell you....MISCOMMUNICATION. It may be behind the scenes but it is still miscommunication that ends up in our ears.

Some of this was clarified further on down the line but not until we entered in dialog with each other. Obviously you see something wrong with this because you don't care about the issue.

I don't see the problem with my question or proposal that this should have been said/clarified in the first place. Not speculating and not keeping information from us making me to believe they are hiding things (which may not be the case, that is just how I perceive it).

Either way, we got the facts straight in the end and of course you don't see the problem that it took someone to call them on it or ask them for clarification to get to that point.

So, either there is miscommunication happening ON the forum OR BEHIND the scenes between staff members. Either way, I am calling them on it.

This was all corrected and all I am saying is that in the future, people get their stories straight before posting on the forum.

It is obvious that if people don't ask for clarification that the truth won't come out. This has been proved time and time again here on the forum.

Some people want the truth/understanding the first time around, some obviously don't care. I am the first and you obviously are the latter.

I guess some people just have a hard time admitting when they are over-reacting, wrong, or both...

Yorri - it seems to me that you are just taking advantage of Jodohosts open culture. You seem to demand a much higher standard of care than most of us consider necessary, or would expect from any host.

It's OK to ask for further clarification, but there is no need to make demands that detailed explanations of every small thing that ever goes wrong should be the standard is going a little far. And then to spend hours trying to defend your insinuated conspiracy theories is laughable.

Why you insist on sticking around is beyond me...

Even if you wanted detailed explanations, you should ask them nicely. They way you ask for clarifications and then go into these really unnecessary arguments on possible coverups or conspiracies really makes me sympathize with Yash!

Couldn't have put it better.

I definately care. I run an ecommerce site at JodoHost and run sites for my clients. I really don't see any problem in Yash or Stephen's dealing with this issue

Yash has always been very professional and I really found your theory on a coverup regarding the email notification for the win5 swap rediculous.

So because you disagree with me, I am over-reacting, wrong or both? How about the fact that maybe we have different perspectives on things? Oh wait, you state this in the next paragraph...

LegalAlien said:

here it is, maybe there are 2 different perspectives, interpretations or expectations. Hmmm...so I am wrong because I don't agree with your perspective? That sounds a little immature don't you think? I guess I should apologize for not seeing things your way?

LegalAlien said:

Why? Because this is the way you see it? I am sorry to inform you but this isn't the first time people have wanted to know what is going on behind the scenes, more detailed explanations or a straight answer. Nor will it be the last. This is not saying that JH always knows the answer. I have done system admin before and because there are many unexplained things that can occur is the reason I went into programming because at least when something doesn't work I know that 99% of the time it's my fault and I can fix it (the other 1% might be "features"..or bugs...however you want to see it).

Also, how do you know it is a "small thing" until you ask???

If you recall, once our questioning found out that someone had changed the password, left the office which resulted in JH staff being locked out of the server. (I may have gotten parts of this story wrong but essentially everyone was locked out of the server because of bad policy/planning which I believe was fixed/corrected so that it won't happen again) This would never have been flushed out if we didn't ask.

So because this didn't turn out to be a major problem, there was no reason to ask? How do you think we found out it wasn't a major issue in the first place???

Furthermore, it seems you agree on the asking but when there are conflicting stories I should move on and not say anything? (telling me that you don't see things my way is not going to change my understanding) Maybe I should ask you YOUR perspective before saying anything because I can't trust my own perspective or understanding of things because it is wrong?

LegalAlien said:

Oh I get it...so you can argue/defend or fight for your perspective for hours?? Sorry I didn't realize this. Now that is laughable.

LegalAlien said:

Of course it's beyond you because you would rather attack me than accepting/understanding my point of view! You explained this by agreeing that we have different opinions/expectations/perspectives.

ron said:

Incorrect statement #1 by Ron....

Um, we did. Logan asked the question then after Yash almost told him that it was none of his concern I stated that I agree than anything that happens to any customer at JH can be anyone's concern here. How was this not nice? There was no yelling, no accusations just dialog. Just expresssing that maybe there is more than one way to look at the issue. How can that be construed as not being nice? You must be referring to something that happened after this point.

ron said:

Well you already stated that you don't see a problem with the answers so of course you won't understand. I disagree with you and you disagree with me. Nothing we can do except move on. I explained my point of view, you explained yours.

ron said:

Well if you accept 2 people from JH saying 2 different things then of course you won't see a problem. It was not pointed out that Stephen was speculating until AFTER Yash pointed this out) and Yash having to tell him otherwise. I said that it would have been easier to state what the problem was in the first place instead of having us 3 go through this nonsense. I still agree with this.

ron said:

Incorrect statement #2 by Ron

I never said there was a coverup regarding the win5 issue.

You keep stating incorrect things Ron..no wonder you don't understand. How many times do you need to be corrected?

Just to correct you regarding the win5 issue, I said that Yash said 2 things that didn't agree with each other. First he said it was a mistake then said it wasn't a mistake.

I just was looking for the truth, either it was a mistake or it wasn't. You can't have a mistake and then say it wasn't a mistake. This is what Yash said and if either of you 2 can't see this then there is a major problem. Where did I state a coverup here...maybe I insinuated it but when you are presented with 2 different stories, what is one to think?

Yorri - you are way too much. If I were Jodohost - I'd ban you from the forum. You're like some irritating rash. I can't bring myself to waste any more time arguing with you, so I guess I'll just have to let you have the last word.

You guys are arguing about this when Wal-Mart is in the process of taking over the world? We need to ban together to fight this monster! DOWN WITH LOW LOW PRICES!

That is why I support Canadian retailers like The Bay and Zellers and FutureShop :) Although they are being taken over or already have been taken over by American companies...Oh well, so much for that fight :(

Guys this is utterly crazy, I did "speculate" yash did not even "correct" me, he was just pointing out that what I stated we do not have an exact log of doing exactly what I said happened, and we don't. Quite frankly, even if we did have a log one way or the other what good would it have done? Hsphere does this sometimes, it is known.

Also, I was doing my best to try to explain what very likely DID happen, take it as you will. you asked, I told what I was 98% sure happened, I am comfortable in telling you that, I did not lie or stretch the truth. I do have a conscience and would not lie to you.

Oh, and I am going to close this thread, it is going in circles, don't like it PM ME, ME please, I started this mess I will handle it.
