Localhost isn't working either. I just checked after reading this thread, and my phpBB and ASP.Net sites that use localhost are both failing to connect to an SMTP server.

there was an issue with mail relay between the cp/mail server and win5 which was corrected

We have also corrected localhost so customers should use that as its more reliable then connecting to an external mail server

Thanks for fixing the problem, but...

Everytime there is a problem with jmail using mail.mydomain.com you tell us to use localhost instead as it's a better solution (since it's faster and on the same server). However then when there is a problem with localhost, you tell us to use mail.mydomain.com as it is a better solution (since it is rarely ever blacklisted). Which one should I be using for &^#($ sake?

Yet my test page in my ticket is still not working! I don't consider this problem fixed yet.

Please direct further complaints on this issue to the ticket system.
Localhost is definately more reliable.

Please also note that sometimes emails get delayed in queue.

EDIT: Smtp relay issue resolved. Please use SMTP authentication if you want to connect to our external mail server and not use localhost
