SARS: Bio Weapon??

Unlikely. Its only one russian scientist out of the thousands out there researching the virus that believes so. I just don't understand what China has to hide about SARS anyway?
 
Lots. It's like a political scam. See, if you look at a country that has 2 people dead from SARS, you'll think, wow, their hospitals must really be effective, everyone is living! I think that in Shanghai, there's like 1 person dead. Now that's hard to believe. I that city has like millions of people, and probably hundreds infected, but one dead? It is estimated that SARS kills 4% of the people infect. Anyway, people are gettin suspicious now...
 
They probably wouldn't want to loose out on tourism/business... so they kept shit silent. But I wouldnt say coz they were developing SARS as a bio weapon
 
I'd say its very likely. And the russian guy was probably the only one with the courage to say it. I read a report somewhere saying that they were shifting SARS patients out before WHO inspectors arrived
 
I doubt it's a bio-weapon. Why would you want to ruin your own enconomy? I see covering it up so uphold tourism, but not ruining your profit.

why do i get the feeling that there is alot more here than they are letting on.

for instance:

?( 4% fatality for an rna virus that has mumps, pnuemonia, influenza AND rubella characteristics ?(

perhaps this is the "final solution" to the "surplus" population question X(

i believe that SARS could very well be a bio waepon. I remember I had an interesting discussion yesterday at uni about this. China may have been in the early stages of developing some sort of virus but it got leaked out. That would explain why it has such a low infection rate, why China is trying to cover it up and the report on how such a virus could only be prepared in a lab.
 
my point is that the stories and minimalist claims just don't make (common OR scientific) sense at all. ?(

also i heard (one time only) on cnn(?) that some "cured" patients are experiencing relapses with fatal consequences. i cannot separate rumor from fact from outright lies but the situation really stinks !
