Hello,

I just signed up for a year of reseller hosting... I know it is late, but wondered if anyone was there if you could go ahead and get things authorized before tomorrow (Friday).

If not I understand. Thank you for your time.

Oh... Is there suppose to be a discount for signing up for a year? Many do and I didn't see one reflected in the total price so I thought I would ask.

Yes, discount will be adjusted in your account once you pay for 1 year.

Just wanted to say the Reseller, admin, and service account are all good to go... no problems.

I will still have 2 reseller accounts... here and another company... but now I have choices that I didn't have before.

By the way... do I need to do anything to get access to the customer only forums here?

Yea... I was trying to decide whether to change my username or not, but it really didn't matter to me. I wouldn't say I am technically a refugee, because I am still with them and helping Mark improve things via regular feedback and so on.

Things are definitely improving and going better now. I spoke directly with the owner (Mark) and I will communicate with him regularly to give feedback and so on... so their service will continue to get back on track. A lot of bridges were burned due to the lack of communication and Mark is definitely making steps to improve them.

However, I have been wanting to have another reseller account regardless... for multiple reasons. I like having an account outside of my main reseller account, I like having another option, I like what having a little redundancy... and so on. I have been with them since practically the beginning and expect to be here at Jodo for a very long time as well. Which leads to some questions, but I'll start a new thread on them.

Thanks... I look forward to building new relationships with Jodo while still developing my relationship with my existing hosting provider.

What is the discount then? I can't see anything about this on the reseller page.

good to see you here, you will have to give me all the true dirt on jodo before I hit that "buy now" button. :D

But seriously, you will have to get used to dealing with people in an Indian time zone! Our late ain't their late!
 
Just FYI, I am here in Miami, and the timezones are almost 12 hours different, it really works quite well I think.

Hey JPH... I've been here for several weeks. I decided to not keep all my eggs in one basket. So far things are going well. Just doing some testing. Believe it or not... I am still keeping some sites where they are at now. 2 strikes against them and the 3rd I will totally leave. My customers are willing to give it one last chance since there is supposed to be a newer even faster mail server in place tonight and some sort of redundancy (still trying to confirm this).

Nonetheless, everything i have played with here is going well. One day it would be nice to see HSPHERE support a true redundant system that allows for a standy that gets all accounts set up on it as they are created and then if the primary goes down it can kick in... not just as a relay holding mail, but allowing you to send and receive. That would be GREAT wouldn't it?

Hi, i'm frico from RC and I'm doing some research here in the forums to decide if I move or not, I think I'll do the same as you at least for the first couple of months, maintaining both services. By the way, how do you know that info about the mail at RC, because I'm still in the dark with RC and I don't know how they are going to work out the mail problems.
 
I also came from RC and signed up today with JH. I'm a very patient person but what they did in the last couple of days was too much for me. I will gradually move my 20 clients here...

I like the Mail Relay option (let's hope we won't have to use it ;) )

Well this was my first post in thie forum... I hope this is the beginning of some peace of mind for me and my clients :D

They (RC) are answering TT's fairly quickly and the owner told me about a brand new server... not certain on the backup relay though.

I think you will find that Jodo is very forthcoming with information and very helpful. I think RC is doing a bit of catch up and recovery due to what has happened over the last several months. I want them to succeed and get their act together since I still have accounts there, but I am making sure I have a solid fall back and Jodo seems to fit the bill very well. I am going to continue with both accounts comparing speeds, service, and so on. So far, Jodo is doing great in all areas.

I have contemplated getting away from hsphere all together, and stick with windows only, but I don't know anything about other control panels or how well they work. I've gotten use to hsphere and not sure if I would have a benefit by getting away from it.
