AOL (yet again)

My site uses jmail to send e-mail to users when someone wants to send them a message. Users that have configured their profile to use an AOL account are telling me that they are not receiving the e-mail. I am unsure if this is a new problem, or an old but still existing problem.

I have seen several references in the forums on AOL as spam, AOL vs. rDNS, etc. However I can't tell what the problem is from my end.

Does anyone know the current situation with AOL, whether it should or should not work, etc.?

If it should work with jmail now, then let me know so I can submit a ticket.

Thanks for your help.

How are you sending your email? Are you sending it from the local smtp server or from our mail servers? Please send the email from our mail servers (mail.yourdomain.com) and you should not have this issue.

Its purely to do with rDNS. It's impossible for us to configure rDNS on the 2000+ IPs we are using so we request customers to send email via our mail servers which will always have rDNS configured

My jmail send command is using localhost, since using the mail server required code changes to add authentication. If I change the send command to use mail.mydomain.com, will it send to AOL OK?

Yash,

How about elzml mailing-list? Via Hsphere control panel...

It returned me an AOL message saying the account does not exist...but I know it does ?(

I think the elzml is using local host.
I recieved this on top of the returned message:

"The original message was received at Mon, 19 Sep 2005 08:20:58 -0400 (EDT)
from win8.m****here.biz [204.10.106.125]"

Please, could you confirm that for us?

Thanks

elzml is installed on the unix machine and does not run on the windows server at all, no wat it is using localhost, did someone use a script on win8 to send the mailing list email?
