Hi

Does JodoHost have any plans to introduce Shared SSL services? My friend wanted to signup here at JodoHost because of the fantastic prices and services but he needs Shared SSL. He doesn't want to invest in his own certificate

Should be available by next monday.

I had posted that message (which I just deleted). There appears to be some ID linking problem in the database because this has happened before. It happened in the Programming POLL as well (you voted and ended up on a different thread. Still not fixed) The forum is in BETA.

No. It will be included free. But we'll be limiting the number of shared SSL sub domains you can have, package wise.

Yes infact we working to obtain one right now. One major problem we are having with Shared SSL on Windows 2003 is that IIS6 does not allow more than one site to listen at 443 with the same IP. Therefore all customers must assign a dedicated IP to their domain to use Shared SSL. IPs are not free (except for one that comes in all packages)

We already have bought the certificate. Installation will be done on the 26th, after Christmas. Only emergency administration is being done till then

I should hope so ;) It seems like you guys bend over backwards to provide some excellent service! Happy Holidays to everyone there at JodoHost!

Yes, it's done but there are problems. Your site will immediately go down when you turn on Shared SSL. After that, you'll have to open a ticket asking us to fix it. The reason is that HSphere's integration with IIS6 isn't perfect. It should be fixed in the next version (to be released next month).

We'll turn it on for all packages shortly. For those who don't know what shared SSL is, it works like this. If yourdomain.com/checkout.asp is a page on your website requiring SSL, it could be accessed by - https://anyname.myhsphere.biz/checkout.asp. So basically anyname.myhsphere.biz is an alias of your site secured by our wildcard SSL certificate
