Php 5?!

We just have not pursued it further, as when anything happens we can't get support for anything on the server even if unrelated to php from psoft if we upgrade to php5.

We as large of a cluster as we have, we encounter bugs quite regularly and need to get support in resolving them.

Hsphere really needs to get on the ball regarding php5. I have lost customers due to the fact that many applications are now requering php5 to run stable.

That said what are the chances we can get PHP4 updated to the newest version? We are using a version of PHP4 that is over a year and 1/2 old. There have been many bug fixes since that time.

Some users are able to do php 5 with 2.5 using some new mod support available on it, but it is not officially "supported" by psoft.
So yes, they are making everyone run through lots of hoops and getting burned by fire on the way!

I just heard back on this...the answer was "it's not supported" which is a typical Jodo response. When will the upgrade be applied to give us php5? We're 2 years out from initial release and it's becoming the norm in many newer apps. I have to have it for a mission critical project, so it's either coax an upgrade from you guys or find another host.

1and1 gives PHP5 support...

I've had to go buy another account over there just to run a new project...

Wast of money seeing that I am paying DoDo Host too...

That's immature, dodo host? Are you sure your ready for the internet? All you have to do was to do your research before grabbing an account with Jodo host. You could of registered on these forums and ask the question instead of resorting to immature comments.

Jodo host fills my needs nicely. I recently was interested in Wiki and asked again concerning PHP5. However, due to wikipedia's immoral and criminal actions, it left a bad taste in my mouth on both the project and the software, so I rescind my request.

1v1 is aimed towards children, not adults. Children run the "company" and you can tell through their "support" and other questionable actions. Want to go over there? Be my guest. But if you want a mature and respectable company, Jodohost is the way to go.

ya ya ya... get over yourself.

Need PHP5 so I can support Wikipedia's immoral and criminal actions by running MediaWiki.

Thanks,
DSH

Once again, we plan to introduce PHP5 once we upgrade to Hsphere 2.5

2.5 has some bugs that we are waiting to be ironed out. I can't give a time frame, but the wait shouldn't be too long.

Hello, on sugarCRM side I am using one called SpledidCRM it is same as SugerCRM but asp.net and it works very well :)

Well, without getting pulled into the name calling in the prior sections of this post, I would like to voice my desire to see php5.x installed.
I understand Jodo's desire to run a stable platform, but I also know there is some wiggle room in almost everything. So, if enough of us resellers/users who fund Jodo want it, at some point Jodo needs to realize that we are worth the extra work. Not to say it will, or should, be immediate, but when the time comes to say "do we install this week, or wait till next month", I hope that our influence is enough to say "this week".
Folks at Jodo, I do appreciate the fact that for the most part, you have kept our servers very stable and safe.
Thanks
Tim
