Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname

Hi,

I'm experience difficulties setting-up my dns.

I have my domainnames registred at (let's say ) jimmies.com
and set it up as followed:

@ 1 day NS ns0.jimmies.com.
@ 1 day NS ns1.jimmies.com.
@ 1 day NS ns2.jimmies.com.
localhost 1 dag A 127.0.0.1
@ 1 day A 64.73.228.253
@ 1 day MX 10 @
@ 1 day MX 20 relay.jimmies.com.
ftp 1 day CNAME @
mail 1 day CNAME @
www 1 day CNAME @

But I wil keep having this problem that my mailserver isn't reachable. The error is:

Mail server relay.jimmies.com[80.69.67.19] answers on port 25
<<< 220 relay1.jimmies.com ESMTP
>>> HELO www.checkdns.net
<<< 250 relay1.transip.nl
>>> MAIL FROM: <[email protected]>
<<< 250 2.1.0 Ok
>>> RCPT TO: <[email protected]>
<<< 450 4.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [195.60.98.252]

I'm trying all kinds of things and read a lot of information/instructions but I can't figure it out what is wrong ?( Could somebody please help me correct these settings?

Thanks in advance!

Roy

So the only thing I add is the following:

Are you the owner of this IP block or have access to zone records for your IP address 195.60.98.252 ?

But I thought the PTR was only useful if the site has it own ip adres? In this case it's shared,

PTR records are most useful with SMTP servers. Most of major mailserver won't accept email from your SMTP if its IP address doesn't carries a valid PTR record.

Hi,

Yes I have full acces to the zone-records, but don't know how to ad a ptr. I only can add a record of type: a, cname, mx, aaaa, ns, txt and srv.

Hop you can give me a solution.

Thanks

Roy
