SSL and Alerts

Well, I have read that you guys are again in a bind. I thought for a minute everything was ok. lol. Anyways, I have a client needing to activate shared SSL on his site and of course, with my luck, the ssl is gone aloop. so what do I do? Also I heard other problems arising about login sessions expiring. This is happening to my admin area and my clients as well and we cannot figure out why. Also, does shared ssl prevent the alerts from appearing on paypal pages? because shared ssl is under m****here, wont it say the name doesnt match? I have recieved that alert when going to https://www.makstudios.com. What is the point of shared ssl if the visitor gets alerts. We know it is secure, but if alerts pop-up at users, they dont trust it.

anyways, are you switching back to win2000? because I dont want to get sued here. My clients are getting mad and the trouble tickets arent getting responded to with enough info as I would get in the forum so I appologize for that.

This is our 3rd full day straight with no secure ordering. The problem is very real for us as there are literally hundreds of people who use our 2 primary sites and rely on online orders.

This was the main issue till our sites went down again about 15 minutes ago. I dont know what to tell my clients, but I cant just take the phone off the hook. When we had the problems arise with sessions, we went to cookies for a quick fix till sorted. I cant get around these problems. I appreciate the efforts of the support guys, but when is enough enough. Must be painful for them I know, but this could send me bust!!

I'm pretty sure they're busting a gut to get the migration completed. At least I hope they are.

In response to your quote - I think 'enough' past yesterday. If I'd known how long this was going to be....

Hopefully it won't be too long now. I know we're losing sales too.. I got a response from a ticket 4 hours ago saying they expected this to be over in 3, but who knows...

The forum helps keep me sane. Nothing is worse than being alone and in the dark.

I know - I'm actually starting to have some fun. :D
Guess the post deletion policy is going to go into overdrive once this episode is over!!!!!!!!

Your site was transfered over Michael.. try re-enabling SSL
If there is any issue, open a ticket

When you have 10 threads on the same topic.. its hard to update each of them... i tried that in the past.. but haven't been able to do it..

OK, I understand, however, you did not post anything about this in the outages section where it should have been posted, so I need to post away making sure you will get the hint. I asked about this in a ticket and I received no response. but anyways, now makhosting.com is getting a 403 saying the page must be viewed over a cecure chanel, please enter https:// but makhosting was never ssl enabled. and I tried to enable Shared SSL back on makstudios and I get this error:

Missing Shared SSL certificate on target server. Ask administrator to install certificate pair

So, Guess y'all didnt get it fully right.
