Happy New Year

Well, it's 5 minutes into the New Year here, and very pleasant it is too. Walked home from a relative's home about an hour ago under a full moon and partly cloudy sky. A mild and calm night. Hope the rest of you enjoy the new year as much as we are - when it gets to you of course :D

Hey, happy near year to you too Stephen - and everyone else in the whoooole entire world of course, how could I forget you? :)

Congrats to Jodo for 7 years of stirling work. You guys have maintained a top level of service all that time, very impressive indeed.

Hope you continue to thrive in the years to come.

Remember to watch those CPU temps as global warming kicks in. :)

Happy New Year to all.

Checking out Jodohost's 7 years announcement, I realised I've been with them for 6 of those... time flies. My own company growth hasn't been quite so dramatic in that time, but thank you to the staff at Jodohost for making it possible at all, and providing a reliable and dependable base for my online business.

Hey, nice new jodohost.com home page for 2010.

I guess Mr Kumar's photographer wasn't big on jokes. :)

Congratulations on the new clouds too! Was there an announcement I missed? We now have an email cloud, database cloud and Linux cloud, cool. When are you getting a Windows cloud? Wait, let me guess - HSphere cloud support is buggy? I knew it. So I gather the clouds run in tandem with the clusters and networks? If I wanted to move my clients from Cluster 1 to Cloud 1, how much would that cost, and is there any real speed benefit? Or should I wait for Cloud Service Pack 1 before making any big decisions?

:) :bsofa:

Our email and database clusters, managed by HSphere - are being referred to as clouds on our homepage. To us, a cloud is a scalable/elastic platform for our services. HSphere's cluster meets some of the elasticity/scalability requirements to be referred as a cloud (according to us).
We are working on a more comprehensive cloud platform, to be launched in the coming months - that will be leveraged by JodoHost and be sold to our clients.

Our growth has been moderate by all standards - the global recession/slowdown has definitely impacted a part of our client base, which also impacts us. At the end of the day, our success is largely dependent on the success of our clients.

We are hoping as the economy picks up, more consumers go online, spawning more online businesses - and helping us grow as well :)
