This thread is for any questions about DNS IP updates on other registrars.
I'll make a best effort to get screenshots if I have any direct friends or contacts with an account with that registrar.
If I don't have any means to access, we'll work together to find the answer.

When is this being done for cluster1 and IP's being changed?? Im having trouble with aplus to get it together to get my IP's changed.. Calling them again now..

We have mailed about cluster1, it was supposed to go down today. We are extending by 48 hours, and this is a placeholder topic that a link will be on the email, glad you bumped it before the mail goes out.

I don't know much on aplus, so I am unable to provider first hand help.

I looked through their FAQ without much help too :(

I am sending you a PM that may or may not be useful, from 2004

This may be a dumb question: I've changed the IP for my nameserver, but when I run the intodns.com report, about halfway down the page there is an entry for the MX records:

MX Records Your MX records that were reported by your nameservers are:

10 gw-mail.mynamehosting.com 204.10.107.118 (no glue)

[These are all the MX records that I found. If there are some non common MX records at your nameservers you should see them below. ]

I'm not sure if this is the old nameserver IP address, or if it's totally unrelated, but I figured I'd ask.

it is old, but it is not migrated yet, so it is just fine :D
We are moving the DNS now, for multiple reasons:
1. new dns is working much faster for internal purposes speeding the moves
2. gives us a little longer to work with old IPs if required

Hi there,

I am currently using namecheap to host my domain and they only require us to enter the nameserver DNS names and no IP addresses required. So do i need to update those DNS names to new IP addresses?

Currently I have my domains with planetdomain, any one know how to change IP DNS settings ?

I have emailed their tech support for help

The IPs are in the email, and also in the control panel domain summary screen.

We really don't want to post the IPs here, so I am editing out if someone does.

Thanks. Managed to update the IP addresses NS1 & NS2. Seems unable to add NS3 & NS4 name-servers.
You should be able to add/edit them, ns3/4 are the currently (and past 3 years) used, DNS servers, so very important to get those in place.

Any help for 1&1? I'm supporting a group that registered their hosting domain with them & their control panel is super dumbed down.

Does this help:
Login to your domain management account
find and go to Manage Your Domains
check by the domain

near the top, hit arrow next to DNS, then to go Edit DNS Settings
select from the drop down box, go to My Name Server
here you should see the prior info submitted and be able to change to the new associations.

All appears as it should, yet when I go to Godaddy and try to use the name servers for my domain I get "Nameserver not registered"

Can you PM me the domain you are using for DNS servers, and the domain attempting to use them.
I will research it for you.
