Web5 is down!

web5 is not totally down, but being slow and checked. there is a huge amount of traffic coming in on it at the moment as well.
 
FYI: It sometimes will eventually display most of the page. Probably something hogging CPU or some process gone nuts. Waiting to hear back from ticket submission.

It is mostly resolved now, it is taking 1-2 seconds longer than normal, so not quite there, but much better than prior taking 10-20 seconds.

I am updating the status thread as well, is in control just working to stabilize it now.
 
I guess the question is... if other customers are bringing the server to a crawl what is done to protect the other customers? I know there will always be short term hits from time to time... but if it goes on for a while what do you normally do in this event?

right now, all is good, we actually had to disable one site entirely as some traffic is looking very 'automated' we will monitor and check it out further with that site disabled, and then work to re-enable it again as soon as possible, so it doesn't have a major impact
 
I am seeing sub1 on tests I am doing here. You may want to update the ticket, it is still being watched closely, but I just forced refreshed and still good again here.

Edit: ok got one slow load now. it is still being checked.

updated further: requests coming from new IPs now, so that is why it sped up now slow again...
