    Access Database Remote Connection?

Can you use an MS SQL or MySQL instead? Access is about the worst thing to ever come about for DB's, especially in the web hosting world, and trying to use a terrible thing on 4 sites is bad (not to mention the fact that I don't think it's possible to access it remotely).

A new forum for dev jobs on offer?

I would second the motion in case the need arose to out-source something.

    Exchange features

Jonyah, Look around for exchange hosted addresses, and you will see wholesale (cost to us) is between 5-10/mo/user and retail (cost to end-user) is anywhere from 15-25/mo/user. It's the going rate because exchange and its features are expensive. -Ben

    Mail delayed for days/weeks?

Are you sure you don't have someone sending mail with an incorrect "date/time" on their computer? I had a customer of mine sending me messages that were dated 4 years ago (well before he was a customer) :)

    Mailer Daemon

Talk to the people that you do business with, have them send you an email from their accounts and that should give you the correct email address. Incorrect email addy's are the only way to get that error message really.

    Cerberus having problems?

I did actually have to resend them. They are in the system, but the emails were never sent out it doesn't appear (or I would have gotten the reply I sent and CC'ed to myself). Good to know it's working again though, and definitely looking forward to getting a more stable ticket system once...

    Cerberus having problems?

Do we need to resend tickets/responses?

    Cerberus having problems?

I will second that notion, there is an issue it seems. I've responded through the support system 2 times and the 2nd time I cc'ed myself as I never heard back from my customer. It doesn't appear that we've received any of those. Ticket #BEY-55922-667. Thanks, -Ben

    Single email to multiple mailboxes?

If you have it checked on mailbox and mail forward, it will go into multiple boxes while remaining in the original.

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Just wanted to drop a note on this for everyone else. Thanks for Stephen's efforts, the site is now working with ODBC. Great work Stephen! Definitely glad I chose this place for my hosting services.

    MySQL Front connections

Sorry, my fault. User error by clicking "finish" instead of "add" first when setting up the DB and user :)

    MySQL Front connections

Any ideas why I can't connect to a newly created MySQL DB on MySQL6 with MySQL-Front v2.5? Thanks, -Ben

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Stephen, the site has been redeployed now. Please note that it appears that the server is trying to serve up the "index.html" file instead of the "default.aspx" by default. Not related to these issues, but something to note. Please let me know what you find out. Thank you, -Ben

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Subspace, I believe all the files have been uploaded. Even doing a straight copy from the old server to the JH servers, and modifying the connection strings just does not work. That was where we got the ODBC errors. Stephen, thank you for the update. I will be looking forward to hearing what...

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Also, the error since removing the assemblies has changed to this: BC30456: 'CreateResourceBasedLiteralControl' is not a member of 'ASP.site_public_master'. The only solutions I've been able to find online is that the namespace is named for a reserve name, but it doesn't look to be the...

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Still not working. The developer is getting very frustrated. Is there any reason why using regular ODBC through a DSN doesn't work? There has to be some sort of error logs that shows either a permissions issue or something. Stephen, would you be able to please look into this for me and let...

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

Thanks for the insight, I believe the developer has the dll in the bin directory, but it doesn't appear to be working quite right. I'll forward this on and see what happens. -Ben

ASP.Net 2.0 and MySQL not working

We have the code using the new assemblies, but we're now getting another issue: Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately...

No idea. It was some counter created in visual studio asp.net 2.0 yada yada.

    FireFox and ASP.Net 2.0

Just thought I'd post the fix for this. The developer was able to remove the counter that was causing the issue (never knew counters had the ability to be useless and destructive at the same time) :).. Now the site works great in IE, FireFox, and Opera.
