Trying to run a SE friendly URL script (coldfusion)

Sure, but even with "foo.cfm?foo1&foo2", the dynamic part is always done on the server. So what the difference? If you produce some output that can lead to a loop of search bot (again, who really cares?), the same output will be for "/foo1/foo2" and for "?foo1&foo2"

    Public Downloads From FTP

As Yash said, just put the file on your site. But this will not be FTP, it is HTTP (you type http://www.mysite.com/downloads/file.zip or something like that). To enable public FTP you should enable dedicated IP and a shared FTP if I remember right

    Where is the robots.txt file?

Hmm, actually you should enable either raw logs, or use Webalizer to see if search engine hits your site. I'm not quite sure, but as I remember right, robots.txt is used to tell to search bot what to index and what not. At least this is what I'm using it for :)

Trying to run a SE friendly URL script (coldfusion)

But even if you will force dynamic pages to look like a folders/subfolders, they still will be dynamic, so the search bot will still have problems. IMHO this is a problems of search bot itself, not yours. As long as search engine supports dynamic pages (and most of them do), why should you care...

Can you explain SQL database size and quota

Database name is "StpWorksMain" on MSSQL2. Cannot open a ticket right now - cannot access HSPHERE from work place because of firewall. If you want I'll do it in 2-3 hours when I'll get home. Anyway, no rush, still my database is not full :)

Can you explain SQL database size and quota

Just wanted to post the same :) But I have another problem - my database size is 20 Mb, where 10 Mb is ALREADY used by transaction log. So it doesn't give me a chance to change its ratio (tried already). Not sure how to solve this problem.. Hmm.. while writing just have a small idea - maybe...

    Suggestion: Email features

Aaa... I see. Now it is clear. So it is probably the way Exchange server works. Just as you explained. Never thought about that :) --EDITED-- By Exchange Server I mean not the program itself, but the whole thingy - you know, I'm coming to work, open Outlook, see my folders, which are on the...

    Suggestion: Programming Forums

Hmm, well, there is a forum for programming questions - just like Yash said. There are not too many posts about CF, but it is just because not many people use it here (I guess)

    Suggestion: Email features

I have a little question. What IMAP is and what its benefits? I actually also have a laptop, computer at home, at work and Pocket PC, but have no problems at all retrieving e-mail using POP3 (using Outlook on all of them). So why IMAP is better?

    Asp.net Site Problem

Maybe you have a debug version of the web-site's dll? If yes, then upload it instead of release. It should give a bit more information about what object and where exactly. Otherwise (if you don't have a source code) it is better to contact the creator of this software. BTW... a bit...

    Setting up an ASP.NET page

Maybe it will help maybe not. But here my 2 cents, since I already came through setup ASP.NET web site. First of all enable debug information in your Web.config file (set customErrors to "off"). This should give you some more information on error. If it is enabled, or you get the same...

    Backup up SQL Server DB

Just leave the page as is after you click Export. It works very slow and depends on the database size. When it will be ready, it will give you that "Download" dialog. It took 2 minutes for my database.

DBAdmin - Manage Access DBs Online!

Sure. Here, get it here: http://www.stpworks.com/Data/SqlWebAdmin.zip Beware though when you are browsing a huge table. The implementation doesn't have paging on tables (not sure why)

    phpnuke and db

Well yes, but they also say that they need an Apache server and not IIS. I've read several posts on their site like "Have anyone got it running under IIS?". Seen no reply :(

    Rainbow Portal?

Couldn't run it (phpNuke) on Windows (with IIS). Actually they say that they need and Apache server, not IIS

Suggestion: A setting to limit outbound emails

As well as it doesn't have to go through your server. By simply setting "From" to any e-mail address you want (if hosting provider allows this). So the only way to know from which server it came, you look in headers (Options dialog in Outlook)

    Happy birthday StPatrick

Thank you :) Well I like posting where I can help a bit :)

    Backup up SQL Server DB

Hmm... I have WinXP Pro and got SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition installed on it... So it should work fine. Check if something prevents from it to work, or maybe you have a different version of SQL Server?

How can i add ISAP DLLs??

Custom ActiveX components are restricted here, so I guess ISAPI DLLs are also, from the same reason - Jodohost cannot be sure that custom ActiveX or ISAPI filter will not have bugs/security holes, etc.

    Hosting Control Panel

Same here, I cannot access to HSPHERE from my work, because of firewall restrictions.. But I'm using some weird "workaround": logging from work place to my HOME computer with Remote Desktop, then going to HSPHERE from there :)
