email address on my domain is being spoofed...

What can I do about an email address on my domain being spoofed? I know its really easy to spoof an address but how can I stop somebody from doing it? I've been getting undeliverable messages for the past few months now, all ended up in my spam folder but I've only now started looking at...

    Preventing automated form submissions

Ah, thats a much better plan. I'll have to be carefull and make sure the application variables are properly disposed of otherwise they could be about for a while. Are the application variables storedas/accessable as a collection? I'm thinking of this: 1: generate random number 2...

    Preventing automated form submissions

Thats kinda the path I'm taking. Just fiddling around with ASPJpeg the now. Persisting the random number/alphanumeric across two ASP pages was something I've been wondering about. Classic ASP session work by giving each user a cookie, if users are blocking cookies then I'll have no way of...

    Preventing automated form submissions

Hi, I know this is gonna sound cheeky and lazy but... Before I go off and code this myself I was wondering if anyone had any classic ASP code for generating an anti-robot image for forms that they might be willing to share? Preferably something that makes use of componets provided by...

    Questions about Browscap.ini on Win6

I've determined that the USER_AGENT isn't getting stripped. Which is strange. Could someone try this link http://gailmail.co.uk and see what results they get? (ignore the layout, I'm just playing around atm). I'm gonna have a shot at making my own USER_AGENT parser as in the mean time I...

    Questions about Browscap.ini on Win6

Hi, the link above was meant to reference this thread. Thanks for making the change, I'm getting different results now but strangely from here at work its returning the following no matter what browser I use... Maybe its our proxy or firewall thats stripping the HTTP_USER_AGENT head data...

    Questions about Browscap.ini on Win6

I was just wondering how up to date browscap.ini file on Win6. I tried out some code which pulls back browser information using ASP, this is to be stored in a SQL server DB so I can run reports at a later date. The problem is that the info getting pulled back is wrong. IE6 SP2 is recognised...

    Payment Gateways???

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend/suggest a UK based payment gateway, I've done a wee search but most solutions are US based and I need to be able to support Switch (debit) cards as well as credit cards. I'm looking for something with a high level of integration, ideally the...

    Spam filter useless?

Hi there, Seems fixed now. Tested both accounts, the catch account still had lots of spam but I checked the control panel and spam checking was turned off, turned it on, sent a test email and the X-Spam headers were there. Thanks very much. -Andrew Edit: Actually, it only seems to...

    Spam filter useless?

Hi there, I'm getting the same problem as Dave, there are no X-Spam entries in the email headers I'm recieving (although there is a X-Virus-Scan hearder there), I've got two addresses set up on my domain (aside from webmaster and postmaster), one is a private address and the other a catch all...

    spam from my computer

Try something like zonealarm. Its a free firewall, fire it up and it'll block all outgoing traffic unless you specifically allow it. You'll soon identify the process thats sending mail out.
