We will be stopping FTP on a number of servers over the next 30 minutes so that we may start taking the final file sync of servers.

Tonight is planned to be:
CF1 and CF3

WEB4/5/6/7/8

MySQL2

We will update further as needed.

We are going to stop FTP service on web5.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

As many of you may know there is a tough situation when dealing with the ColdFusion DSNs.
We have imported them mostly successfully from the old server, however we are going through and verifying all manually.
We are finding some SQL (My and MS) that do not have proper passwords, and we are working to compare their status on old and new to see if it is indeed just a bad password, or more.

in this process we are keeping CF1 FTP down, and we are keeping a file sync going for updates made via websites via web tools.
We have not moved IPs yet, as we want as many CF DSNs to work as possible even if it means manually verifying all of them now and sorting them out and correcting if possible.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

FTP service has been stopped on web6, so we can get latest copy of data on new server.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

Due to the amount of time some of the file syncs and now CF DSN creation time are taking, we will probably be extending the maintenance window into Tuesday night and not monday.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

We are ready to start IP migration of web5, web6 and mysql2. To start the process, we will now stop control panel.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

CF1 update - DSN process audit complete, there were a handful that failed but mostly looked to be left-behind from a user that changed servers, or DB names in some cases (or DB types), we have fixed the overwhelming majority of issues and only a few not verifying, so we will be able to proceed now.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

web5 has been migrated to new set of IPs and the new DC. Please report any problems experienced to our support team.
Web6 IP migration to start in a few mins.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

web6 migration completed an hour back. We have started control panel, while we prepare for our next migration.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

CF1 is in IP migration now, and sites already coming live to it.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

cf1 is running off new server and IP address for past couple of hours.

Re: Cluster2 Migrations - Starting CF1/CF3, WEB4/5/6/7/8 and MySQL2

Control panel & MySQL service on mysql2 is now being stopped to migrate it.

Win5 is being rebooted for final sync of files, FTP will be STOPPED on it at this time.

Win5 will be moving within the next 4-6 hours.

CF3 will also be moving shortly

Quick summary of status:

CF1 moved
Web5 moved
Web6 moved
MySQL2 DNS updating, otherwise moved.

Win5 is processing now, we haven't made CF3 live yet, but it and web7 are ready we will do it as soon as setting finish on Win5, which may be about 2 hours time.

Win5 is still going on physical creator, about 3 users have many many domains parked with little to no content, but php/cgi/asp/all features on making the recreation take a long time.

Just to note, the control panel is up, Win5, CF3 and Web7 are not controllable by Hsphere right now (properly), but other functions are up and online.
