COM for making thumbnails?

hi

looking thru the list, i ant see any COMs that can on the fly resize and image for a thumbnail, and also check the dimensions of an image i have on file or have just uploaded.

is this true? is there really no way to do it?

at first i thought that ASPimage was it, but it seems that just for making a new image from scratch. unless it can do this as a side-trick?

ASPImage is indeed the tool. It has a resize method that you can use. You can either use it to resize the original and save it, or resize on the fly, depending on the frequency you need to do this.

I believe there are problems however using ASPImage too much. I think that extensive use of it can cause problems like server busy errors. I can't confirm this however. Yash also alluded that ASPImage is not as reliable as ASPJPEG, but I'm not sure if JH is planning to install ASPJPEG.
