"Connection dropped by imap-server."

I've been having the following error often over the last few days when checking my email via SquirrelMail and Horde. Actually, SquirrelMail reports this error message after logging in, but Horde just goes to a login screen (set to auto-refresh every few minutes) and won't accept my credentials for a few minutes, then suddenly everything works fine. Is anyone else seeing this, or know what may be causing the problem?

I am having the same problem...mine started shortly after my server was rootkitted. run rkhunter or something and see if maybe that happened to you. I discovered some kids trying to use me as an irc bouncer.
