CP invalid location error

This probably is explained somewhere, but can't find the answer.

As one of RC refugees I spent entire day yesterday re-creating hosting environment and end-users accounts. I went through all steps including changing URL for CP within my main reseller account. Now when I try to login to end-user's account via:

http://www.enduserdomain.com/cp
or
http://www.enduserdomain.com/login.html

I get the login page with entry fields on the right side and after I provide user name/password I get:

Control Panel Error
You have entered invalid control panel location. Please enter your account login and password.

It is white page with login entry field already filled with provided credentials. When I click "login" it enters end-user account.

On the other hand when I go to:

http://cp.myhostingdomain.com

I get the login page with entry fields on the left side (different one than in first case) and that one logs me right in.

Is this a glitch or I missed something during setup? How to straighten that out? Please help.

I think your skel(default)files may have been created before you changed the CP URL.

I am afraid that's right. I can go to each login.html file and correct the link (have only couple dozen sites). But when I create the new site is it going to get the correct login.html file or not?

Lastly, I think login.html file is identical for all sites signed up through my reseller account. So it should be enough to change one file and copy it to all accounts is that right?

I just experimented with one file. Replaced the section:

r14653.res.m****here.biz

with

cp.myresellerdomain.com

which is within a link in "action" clause of the form tag in two places on the page. It did the trick.
