Mail being sent multiple times

I have one client that is reporting that one mail message is being sent to people multiple times. A few people reported receiving the e-mail over 30x since Friday evening. I have already opened a ticket, but was wondering if there is something I can do to check to see if there is something stuck in the mail queue. I've asked her to check that she doesn't have anything stuck in her Outlook Outbox.

We need to get this figured out ASAP before too many of their clients are upset.

as far as the multiple sends, I have only seen this when stuck in the outlook outbox, have they checked that?
