Looks like hosting prices over here a couple of years ago, back then they would be very high compared to US company prices..

They're still slightly more expensive or have less features, but at least they're in the same ballpark. Not anything like "let's pocket $30+ a year for something you can do yourself in 5 minutes" (domain registration)
 
Indeed this is very very expensive. I made a comparison to what I have right now at JodoHost (as far as possible) for a year :

Domain : $ 42
Hosting : $ 35.5 x 12 = $ 426 :baby:
Let's say I can handle one DB : $70 + $27 = $97
+ 24%

Makes a total of about : $ 700.6

This sum deserves nothing but a good laugh :D :D :D By the way, I don't like hosting companies which burry you under tons of prices : one package, one price, just like JodoHost does !

ya it sucks..

and they have only two or three ASP components installed on the windows servers, their support sucks, they dont have a control panel, and they have slow servers..

the fastest server is a Single Pentium 4 2.1 Ghz with 1024 RAM (not sure if its DDR or whatever) my private computer is better than their best server!


their connection to the world is a 16Mbit S(H)DSL line
