New WinCF server

This new CF server sounds like a good idea. Will all CF sites eventually be moved to this server, or just new signups? Can we request to have our existing CF sites moved to this server? With only one CF server to administer/license, can we request certain CF custom tags be installed if they are known to be safe, etc?

No, existing accounts won't be moved. You can however request an account to be moved over to WinCF if it does not require ASP.NET/ASP/FP. Infact we'd encourage that but we won't be forcing any customers to move

The main advantage of a dedicated Cold Fusion server for Cold Fusion customers is stability and better performance. Most of the issues we are currently facing on Win6 are due to ASP and ASP.NET (which we are working on BTW). Win5 does not have ColdFusion on it and it has been also performing very well, the first downtime incident in over a month happened on Win5 only yesterday (that too for 20 minutes).

Yes, you can request custom CF tags to be installed if they are from a reliable software maker or are popularly used on shared environments. This has always been possible with us
