I work as an ICT helpdesk engineer, and constantly try and keep track of where people sit, what computer they have (every PC and laptop is asset tagged), and what their extension number is. The company I work for has approx 500+ employees, and constant desk moves for "strategic sales team swaps" (or whatever they like to call them), means the plans are always being updated.
At the moment we use a simple Excel spreadsheet to keep track of everything, but wanted to try and find something especially designed for the job (preferebly free). Does anyone know if there's anything available, either in a program or as something like a dynamic website? What do people use in their companies to track where people sit etc?
Any help / info would be great!
