Oracle - Compiere

I am interested in your Reseller packages that have the Oracle Database; of particular interest is whether I could install the Compiere, http://www.compiere.org package on your server.

Initially, it would just be see whether we could use, or develop it, for some of our clients and users.

Within the Compiere installation guide, http://www.compiere.org/support/install/index.html, it simply refers to Oracle 10g. Whereas Yash makes a distinction between Oracle 10g servers in one of the forums, http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=3336&highlight=Oracle, to say that .."We have introduced a Oracle 10g database server but we don't support Oracle 10g application server.

So I wasn't sure whether Compiere would be compatible?

Hello Bugs,

There oracle is quite a suite of apps, from database to application server, to some sort of grid server. We only support the database portion.

That app would not run for a number of reasons, we don't support JSP/Java servers, being the main problem.
