PHP IMAP Extensions?

I am working with a PHP webmail program and it says I need the "IMAP Extension loaded" on my web host server, but its not loaded. Is this something that will be or should be loaded on the JodoHost server, or am I totally out of luck with any chance of running this app on my web site? Thanks.

IMAP extensions are unfortunately not available.
We don't support IMAP as an email option either.

Whenever HSphere begins supporting IMAP, we will as well.

IMAP support would be great. Apparently HSphere supports IMP (Horde) (http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation/FAQ/faq.html#Administrating Features5) and Horde supports IMAP (http://www.horde.org/imp/about/). So it looks more like an issue of adding Horde to the site, not an issue of HSphere's features.

Do you think you will be adding Horde soon? I seem to recall a thread about this somewhere on the board. Horde with IMAP would be great.

Yash, I looked into this IMAP Extension package for PHP a little more and it appears to be a set of email functions for PHP. I think this is one of the problems with PHP - there are lots of add-on packages that are required. I don't know much about PHP but if this is a popular add-on package for PHP maybe Jodo Host would consider loading it?

HSphere does not support creation of IMAP accounts to the best of my knowledge. It only supports POP3 account creation
The IMAP functionality of Horde only works if your email account is IMAP

If you can provide me more information on that PHP extension package, we'll consider installing it.

Yash, here is the info on the IMAP PHP extensions.

http://www.php.net/imap

"These functions are not limited to the IMAP protocol, despite their name. The underlying c-client library also supports NNTP, POP3 and local mailbox access methods."
