Problems connecting to MSSQL2 via SQL Server Manager

Is anyone else experiencing issues trying to connect to MSSQL2 vis SQL Server Manager. It does not seems to be able to list the databases
 
I have this problem connecting MSSQL3 via Enterprise Manager, sometimes if I leave it long enough, up to an hour in some cases, I can get the list, but it always says no items when I first open the databases folder and I have to refresh the window.

please install mssql sp3, it fixes that. Even if you only have em installed the install will still run.
 
interesting, suddenly, my DNN installation is giving a UPGRADE ERROR - Could not connect to database. It was working great earlier, and i've made no changes to anything.

opened a ticket for it... perhaps the h-sphere patch changed something?
 
seems there are just general connectivity problems with mssql2... i can't connect to it with enterprise either... same error

general network error. check your network documentation.
