SSL Certification and Aliases

I just installed a SSL Certificate on a domain with a kinda long domain name. I have purchased several other domain names that are alternate spellings or shortened versions of that original long domain name. I added them all as aliases to the long name domain.

Now I notice when I browse to one of the aliases and use the https prefix, I get a security alert saying the name does not match the name on the ssl certificate.

Obviously, I don’t want my site’s customers to see this. What do I do to get rid of that security alert on all of my aliases?

Should I be using domain forwarding instead of aliases?

TIA DataMark

there won’t be a way around the alert using aliases, only forwarding will prevent that from occuring.

forwarding would be better, unless you want to purchase a cert for every one of your aliases.

Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it.
