Transaction log

Hello all,
Since my DotNetNuke 2.1.2 website is up and running (2 weeks now) my transaction log is growing.
The size is now 22Mbyte. (with a db size of 11Mbyte, which is not modified a lot, in fact it is filled only a bit)

Do I have to wipe the log myself once in a while?
Or can I automate this?

Anyone experience on this?

Thanks for your info,
Jan-Pieter

based on the percentage of space that you have configured the transaction log to use it should commit and empty out automatically.

"Someone say something if I'm wrong."

When the log was full I got a lot of server errors when accessing my dnn site, so the log is not emptied automatically when the log gets full!

OK sorry, I thought it did my site is also mssql and I have not run into a problem with a full transaction log as it is full on my site now. Every thing keeps moving along.

Ya I had this problem too. I either did it manually, but I think I had them change my backup to basic or something so it would truncate the trans log everytime a backup was done. It should have done this anyway. So I don't know the best action.

We can easily set it to Simple recovery style and auto shrink.

Just send a ticket and request it.
