Unsolicited Adult Spam

We keep getting unsolicited adult Spam and all our attempts to unsubscribe seem to fail. We have followed the instructions for removal, but the Spam does not stop. They also give the following address:

URL: 63.209.158.6

Westshore Corporate Services
3522 2nd Floor Rm.2
AL 11B, Suite 7666-145, Lard Prao Road
Klongchan, Bangkapi, Banklok TH 10240

Is that a real address?

Please help! Please advise what options we have to stop it. We find this type of material vary offensive and unacceptable.

Does anyone have this problem?

You mean spam is coming into your JodoHost email account from a foreign source?

Just put in a ticket with the email and we'll block it at the server level

Yash- I've also had some customers complaining of a sudden surge in porn spam. I'll try to have them forward examples to me so I can send them to you for blocking as well.

Pious - NEVER, EVER use the unsubscribe link that is in a spam email! All that does is verify to the spammer that your email address is a working address. They may unsubscribe you from one list, but then sell your address to a hundred other lists as a verified address. The people who send these porn emails are scumbag, low-life, inconsiderate filth who don't desreve the air they breathe. But that's just my opinion!

I have seen a flood of porn spam everywhere, my gmail, hotmail, multiple private accounts.

Amazing how bad it is, and the mail preview at least in gmail where I see the short preview is 100% gibberish, how does it get past any filter?

Yes, like to say that the increase or decrease in this sort of spam has nothing to do with the mail servers :)

But of course, submit in tickets and we'll block these people from our network

I'm amazed that I practically receive zero spam on my GMail accounts. And those are the accounts I use to sign up for newsletters, buy stuff online, etc. But personal acounts, Hotmail, etc. are flooded with spam. I use Thunderbird to check all my POP3 accounts, and its filters do a great job, only letting 5 or 6 out of a hundred or more spam get through each day.

I use spamassassin on my home mailserver, but at the moment about 60 emails a day are getting through my filter (it's set to 5.0). Then there's about 40 that get marked as suspected spam and over the last 6 months about 56 mails have been outright deleted dayly because of a spamscore of 8.0 or higher.

SpamAssassin effectiveness seems to fluctuate a lot for me, even with some extra RulesDuJour lists and RBLs. I don't use Bayesian filtering though.

The spammers are finding more and more ways around SpamAssassin and how to manipulate it.

BTW, at gmail the gibberish GOES to spam folder, but is still spam.

I have a user.name address and I think that is the problem.
