Moving an account from reseller to standalone

I think I've asked this before but I can't find it now and I don't remember the exact answer.

I have a reseller account where I host for a few clients / friends. I will soon be down to one and I will suggest that he should signup with JodoHost directly.

Can an account be moved from under a reseller account to be a standalone shared hosting account? Can that be done with everything intact, i.e, without having to start with a new account and upload and configure everything again? This is a Windows account which will fit within the limitations of the Value plan. Will there be any costs associated with the change?

We can with your agreement and his move him to a direct client as long as plan features are in order we can execute such a change and then make a temp plan group on our side once done and move it to the similar plan as needed.
 
Ha! Thanks for post this tetranz :) I asked this same question awhile back and one of my clients is finally ready to do this (mainly because they outgrew us and we're happy just hosting smaller sites).

Anyway, can you tell us how to proceed, Stephen?

Should I have him sign up for an appropriate account first?

Hello,

I would NOT sign him up for an account first, it depends on cluster, our public signup links are online cluster2, not cluster1, also an account should not be required.
We will need to setup groups etc.

It will require a mail to billing from the contact of your reseller account, and from the contact of the end user account to confirm the move is ok, then we can give you a link for signup if required, or otherwise proceed to discuss which of our plans would be needed, then move it to our direct account, then to adjust/swap the plan accordingly.

Basically it needs to be coordinated through the sales/billing staff and not really technical until the execution of the move, which doesn't have ot involve and downtime or change if done properly.

if issues are encountered in this, I can certainly step in and help some.
