Accessing the CP Database on my own site

i was just wondering if it was possible to access the CP Database thru my own site so i could make a Login script to have a 'Clients Only' area

i wouldnt need the ability to edit anything, just want to be able to have a "Clients Only" area

if anyone has any ideas, or wot not that'd be great.

PS: i did read somewhere, that HSphere had a API ablity, does jodo allow this? if so any links to documentation on how it works?

there is an hsphere api, we are still working with the devsto get a problem with it worked out.

is there any news on using the API, also querying the database to check the details ive seen a query on the psoft website api section but not sure how to use it
