How would I configure a mailing list to be an announce only list?

I would like the list owner and moderators to be able to send a message to the list and not have any sort of moderation, confirmation, etc. The message should just go out to the list.

Messages from any other senders should just be rejected.

The "Posts from addresses other than moderators are rejected. This is applicable to message moderated lists only." doesn't seem applicable. Any of the suggestions on the ezmlm site imply that I have to either compile the application with different flags or edit the configuration files. Neither is possible at JodoHost.

A moeratedlist will do what you mention, and yes you want it to reject non moderator, otherwise it would send them to all as well.

Will the moderator will have to confirm their own messages to the list? Or, are messages sent by a moderator automatically approved?

I'm getting requests from two different clients for features that ezmlm can't handle. Well, it should handle them; the ezmlm site says it can. But, either the version installed or the version compatible with HSphere can't...

Is it possible to install another mailing list manager? I guess primarily I mean, can I install something onto my client's site? They're not on a VPS and I don't want to move them to one (they can't afford it)

Or, can you update the version of ezmlm or install one of these other list managers?
