bounces due to spf

All of this week customers have been getting mail rejected for spf failures, all of these customers are on mail4.g*******e. com
 
Once way I could see this happening is if you did nt base the SPF record off the sending domain but off the IP.
 
The non delivery report with reasons for the bounce was included in the ticket.
This customer has a default spf record generated by hsphere so no custom record has been created to my knowledge.
