Can't Send Email - Solution Needs Sticky

    Can't Send Email - Solution

    It took quite a bit of searching, but I finally found the answer to my problem in this thread:

    My issue was I could not send email through my domain (mail.domain.com) even though I knew I had everything configured properly in my email client. After a bit more research into the matter after I found that thread, I found out that most (if not all) ISP's are now blocking outbound port 25 these days. Changing the outbound port in my email client from 25 to 587 resolved the problem. It might be helpful to others having this problem in the future if someone made a sticky/announcement with the solution in this forum.

    Good sticky. This is probably the reason for a great many support emails!

    If I may suggest, change the thread title to this, so everyone gets the message:
    Can't Send Email - Use Port 587 not 25

    That doesn't solve other problems. For instance, I can use one mail server for outgoing just fine........but another one doesn't work .........and settings are exactly the same..........z
