Changing a website

Hi!

I have a client with a domain running a DNN site.

It is a older DNN site which i want to upgrade to the latest version of DNN, but I can?t do the upgrade in the usual DNN way because I have some custommodules that has to be changed and tested so I see that the site works properly until I "release" the site public.

So my question is, how shall I do if I want to create a completely new site for this client but don?t want to change the domain until that site is finnished.
Can I create a directory without a domainname where I can upload the new site, and after some testing I want to "release" it to my customer and use the same domain as the old site.

Usually when i create a new site for a client I?m just adding a new domain, and then I get a temporary url which I?m uing until the domain is propagated to my dns.

But how shall I do now?

Hope I describe this so you understand what I mean.

hi,

you can create a directory and make it a application and then upload your dnn site in that directory. You can access your new application using your domain name with virtual directory.
( i.e. http://domainname/directory_name )
This will work without

thanks
