Datacenter UPS Maintenance March 18th

Summary Description of Maintenance: CRG West will need to perform Annual Preventive Maintenance on all IDC UPS systems. CRG West Operations and Electricians will all be onsite throughout the entire maintenance window. Best practice and procedures will be employed throughout the maintenance and we would like to ensure that all relevant IDC tenants are aware of the activity.

I have called and confirmed that we will be moved to generator power with the UPS in bypass mode and utility as backup during the maintenance period. There should be no impact on services but we wanted to make all aware of the power maintenance.

We got an update on this today:

Much of the work originally slated for 18 Mar 2009 (mentioned in previous maintenance advisement) will be taking place on 19 Mar 2009. CRG West Operations and Electricians will all be onsite throughout the entire maintenance window. Best practice and procedures will be employed throughout the maintenance and we would like to ensure that all relevant IDC tenants are aware of the activity. No loss of critical power is expected.

So it is continuing tomorrow as well.
