This is a general announcement to let all customers know that we will not be allowing 3.0 DotNetNuke be installed until it has gone final.

As a practice it is not good to mix production servers and beta software. We are not saying that DNN 3.0 series will never be allowed, but from now on we will not be creating DBO permissions or application settings for DNN 3 installs.

I will monitor the DNN status and modify the instructions to the admins accordingly.
 
Just to update this topic with a post from the DNN site, and say we are still not allowing it on production servers at this time.

The reason we at the moment are strong discouraging DNN 3.0 is because we have seen this software to cause a number of issues on our windows servers ever since it was introduced. Some of these issues have been fixed in the latest BETA release but there may be more unknowns lurking

In the interest of all our customers, we have issued this announcement. As soon as we find it stable enough, we'll issue an announcement
