Google Adwords

I recently signed up for Google Adwords on my site which uses php.

If the user goes to the default page directly then they appear, but if they go via the domain then they dont.
ie. www.mysite.com/default.php works. Ads are displayed on the page.
www.mysite.com doesn't work. Same page is displayed but the google adwords are not displaying.

Anyone else had this problem or know why it would be occuring? I couldn't see anything on the Google site that gave any clues. I also tried making default.php the default page through the controlpanel instead of relying on it looking first for index.htm, then default.php etc.

Not sure if it makes a difference but its on a Linux account.

use the directory indexes to make index.php first instead of index.html

Sorry, yeah, that's what I meant in my first post about setting default.php to be the default page via the control panel.

On my site default.php is the default page, and I have set the indexes to use default.php instead of index.html.

So already tried that but still no luck.
