Internationalized domain

Hi!

Question to Jodohost:
How you, i hope, know, there are Internationalized Domain Name now. It means, that you can use non-english letter in domain name.

But, for host it normally, it need special configuration of servers.

So, question: Has jodohost`s servers supported it?

Hello reseller,

Our servers support it but I believe the Hsphere Control Panel database still has problems with it. There have been a number of posts about suporting it recently in the Hsphere forums.

So, our servers are fully capable, but the CP won't allow it, in short.

Sorry for bumping up an old thread but since it was 3 years ago I'm wondering what's the status now? Does the CP now support internationalized domain names? Thanks!

there are some --xn and different symbols to use when such domains are used and we host some like that I don't know the entire symbol set to use to make it work though.

Thanks Stephen! Yeah, it's interesting how it works. I registered some and it basically converts it into the "xn--" so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to enter the converted "xn--" or the domain in the actual language.

I'll play around with it and report back if anyone is interested :)
