Is PEAR installed on the Linux servers?

I was thinking about using some of the class modules in PEAR and was wondering if anyone knew if they were installed on the servers, and how to access the PHP files.

TIA
Larry

An old thread, but I just had the same question. It appears that at least on some of the servers here, the answer is no.

You can check with:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<title>PEAR info</title>
</head>

<body>
<h1>PEAR info</h1>
<?php
// Include the appropriate PEAR classes
require_once("PEAR/Info.php");
$pearinfo = &new PEAR_Info();
$pearinfo->getPackages();
$pearinfo->getConfig();
$pearinfo->getCredits();
?>

</body>
</html>

(From an ONLamp.com article...for me, this returns a "fatal error" meaning that PEAR isn't installed, at least on web3.)
