I have had a router do that before, with linksys brand in particular, sites would randomly quit working. Pulling the plug for a few seconds was always the fix, for 24 hours, changing brands fixed it best.
Some outdated hardware that's gathering dust and a few cheapass network cards beats any consumer level router, except in compactness
There are actually some routers with QoS nowadays, but they're still not configurable enough for my taste. Sharing a connection with people is fine, but I want to be able to set it up so that some noob on KaZaA or whatever doesn't eat away all my bandwidth
I agree, I have a little p3 500 router that I like, but adding wireless proved to be more ofa chore than I wanted to mess with, so I got a blitzz router, it has worked quite well.
